RFID for the Fitness Club

Just found at the RFID Weblog: A wristband for fitness clubs.

While working out you move to different training equipments and these objects identify you, keep track of your data and shows a personal training menu. Of course it displays personal health data too. (Remember my article yesterday?)

The RFID-tagged wristbands can also be used for managing check-in/out, tracking people's activities, monitoring kids' attendance to a fitness program, calling fitness club staff in an emergency situation, and cashless payment in a fitness club facility.

This all makes absolutely sense to me. What do you think? Is this a great, good or bad example for wearable computing this year?
