Paul Lukowicz

Paul Lukowicz is a european veteran in wearable computing and now became head of applied informatics in Passau (University of Passau), Bavaria, Germany. His main field will be embedded systems / embedded software.
Before Passau he lead the wearable computing and computer architecture group at the ETH Zurich (from 1999 to 2004).
His main interest is "ubiquitous computing", most of all context recognition and system architecture, healthcare applications, organic computing and opto-electronic. In Passau his focus will be "intelligent technical systems" - a combination of informatics, electrical engineering and cybernetics. The course will be supported by the industry (e.g. Knorr Bremse).
