Other smart toys (design)

Filed in archive Products by on September 28, 2006

Techwear
Just to stay a bit in the toy industry here are some other examples - not really for computer technology, but for a good social interface design. This means I like these examples because of their understanding of gameplay. So the design is much more important than the technology.

The musical skirt (picture left)
The skirt has four layers, features an on/off switch and is adorned with an extra large flower. Your little one will enjoy playing dress-up as they work their acting muscles. Twirl around and sing to the beautiful melody or make up one of your own.

Wiggle Wonder
This is a shape memory interactive toy that your child will enjoy. It is based on new technology that allows the toy to change from a 3D shape back into a 2D shape when warmed. Each figure is made from a bendable plastic that allow your child to pose it into position. The toy holds its shape until exposed to warmth of warm water or the warmth of sunlight on an 85-degree day on a sidewalk.

I'm sure there is much more possible and possibly already out there.
