Zhu Zhu pets were a runaway hits last Christmas and even though they were listed at a price of $8, due to over whelming demand they sold for as high as $100 on sites like eBay.com and Amazon.com. Now adding another feather to its cap, Zhu Zhu pets won the 2010 Toy of the Year at the Toy Fair in New York.

Refreshing your memory, these little hamsters can zip around in cars and ramps and run in their hamster wheels. They come equipped with artificial intelligence which allows them to sense in which hamster habitat room they are in. Whenever they enter their bathroom they make teeth brushing or toilet flushing sounds and when they enter their bedroom they make alarm clock sound and snoring sounds to the delight of little kids.

Buoyed by its success the company plans to introduce the next line of Zhu Zhu Pets by the name of Zhu Zhu Pets Rockstars and Zhu Zhu Pets Wild Bunch.
