The new technology can detect a person's pulse rate, blood pressure, blood O2, CO2 and more from a distance by focusing on the patient's skin.
Even if the developer think this technology is for remote patient monitoring and diagnostics - I will file it under privacy too... I mean I don't have to think twice to know what some people will do with that technology.
For example to measure blood pressure to see if a terrorist is aroused short before action.
