Techwear for pets

What is the perfect start into 2006? Animals! I love cats. And dogs. And others do to… Or not?

So here it is: the first mobile for your pet. The PetsCellTM - the first voice enabled waterproof GPS cell phone optimized for animals, will be available for distribution early in 2006.

Of course (like all techwear stuff) it made it into the mass media.
Why not. It's useful, somehow..: With remote programmable geo-fence capability and a temperature sensor accompanied with a variety of other attachable devices, the PetsCellTM will quite simply be the standard against which all other pet tracking devices are measured.
The share of the mother company CIMBIX CORPORATION is still cheap (29c right now).

If you believe in:
PetsMobility will provide innovative wireless communication products, services and wireless solutions to the rapidly growing multi-billion dollar pet market segment. Current estimates predict pet and pet related expenditures in 2004 to exceed $34.3 Billion in the US alone.

Just ask your pet.

Aww (sigh)…how man cares about animals… All that money going into devices for pets??? Can’t believe it. I do not know if it is vanity or just plain absurdity. It seems like the year of the dog is literally coming in this 2006. =p

    Great comment jing.

Just one add-on: scientist research animal language. Imagine there would be a translator build in and your dog could really call you?

    ;-) ))

To Michael: What?! Are you sure? Are we not going the wrong way here? If we pursue studying how pets could communicate? I think that sooner or later pets are now sharing the same level of leadership as ours. Pets and humans are now sharing the same kind of intelligence. I could never imagine!
