Prosec - Child protection

Filed in archive Products , Technology by on November 20, 2005

In the end it's not different from using RFID to identify people, check what they're doing and react on it. Prosec gives us a clever example of how to build an intelligent clinical system around it.

Prosec offers two types of patented infant tags: the umbilical tag and the supervised tag. The umbilical tag, which is only available from Prosec, is attached to the infant's umbilical cord clamp, deterring potential abductors from removing the tag. The supervised tag is attached to the infant's wrist or anklelinks and has the unique ability to sense if it has been removed from the infant. Because the MyChild system can support both types of tags, your facility has the freedom to choose which tag is best for you.
