New push for W2C business?

HP (this time really) invents a new chip and I promptly think this can push the Wearable-to-consumer (W2C) business.

What I have in mind is the label within every clothing. Add this chip and you can transfer personal information within a minute - is it for security or simple for comfort. It would be just one press of a button to upload onto this chip and could be automatically downloaded via radio.

But let's take a look into the technology (thanks to the RFID weblog):

The chip is equivalent to a size of grain and measures two to four mm square. I was just wondering whether a grain of rice would be bigger as compared to this chip. As of now the protype can hold 512 KB of data which is expected to rise in the future. ...
One could communicate with the chip wirelessly and is improved speedwise and the maximum data transfer rate with RFID is 848 kilobits per sec and has a transfer speed of up to ten megabits per second which is ten times faster than Bluetooth wireless technology.

It's just a dot fully loaded with information. Objects may start to talk to you.
