IMB 2006

Just 1 month from now starts the IMB Cologne - the World Fair for Apparel Production Technology and Textile Processing from 10th to 13th May 2006.
The list of product groups encompasses all sectors related to the making up of flexible materials.
In addition to machinery and processes for the production of technical textiles, for the first time technical textiles/materials will be shown at IMB.

The IMB is the leading fair about textiles and covers the following areas:

* Clothing, shoes
* Home textiles, upholstered furniture
* Automotive industry, aviation, vehicle construction
* Heavy textiles, packaging materials, canvas
* Filter production
* Medical textiles
* Insulating materials, construction textiles, renovation
* Research, development, training, inspectorates

Part of the fair is the LEAPFROG public conference "Advanced garment Development and Production" will be held in Cologne, Germany, on 10th May 2006 from 10:00 to 17:30. According to the fair's motto "Discover new horizons!", the event divided into 4 thematic sessions will present the latest results in research and development.

The European Commission for Science and Research has taken over the patronage of the IMB Innovation Award. Prizes will be awarded for the best marketable technical innovations for the processing of flexible materials..
