How will the future look like?

Kevin Kelly wrote an amazing article about the internet in 1995, 2005 and 2015. When it comes to the question how the web will look like after the next ten years he notes two results from a survey by the Pew Internet & American Life Project which are interesting here too:

One scenario earned agreement from two-thirds of the respondents: "As computing devices become embedded in everything from clothes to appliances to cars to phones, these networked devices will allow greater surveillance by governments and businesses." Another was affirmed by one-third: "By 2014, use of the Internet will increase the size of people's social networks far beyond what has traditionally been the case."
