Future Skin
A breakthrough in nanotechnology - that is more important for techwear then ever before: chemists from the University of Arkansas announced the first 3D-form from nanomaterials.

The advancement from 2D to 3D makes textiles possible. Nano is not a micro-micro-picture of something funny anymore, but a pulp you can make fabrics from. Ok, thats a bit fast because we're still inside the university. But it's the next step and it will come faster then others may even recognized that there is something like Techwear...

The ability to cast the nanopaper into 3D forms will allow the nanomaterial to be used in protective masks and armor, flamelinks-retardant fabric
