ECG T-Shirt
Imagine an electrocardiogram without the need to go to the doctor and with much better data. This is what the ECG T-shirt will be about. It's a research project at the EMPA. This institut works in the materials science and technology field, is part of the ETH Zurich, located in Switzerland and 125 years "old".
The idea of the shirt is to use conductive fibers and many textile electrodes. The electrodes measure the heart activity and send these information to a microchip and from there to a mobile diagnostic device.
