Cold at night?
The life of a soldier is hard, not only in times of war. I've been in the army to (if even for a short time only) and had the luck that I never joined a real mission. However, at night in winter the army is a very very cold place... But - you guess right - the 21. century has a solution:

Scientists at a city-based technology institute have developed a novel 'electric sweater' for the exclusive use of defence personnel in extreme cold conditions.

Braided Ni-chrome filament is integrated in the garment by placing it between two layers of cotton fabric. The electric circuit comprises a temperature sensor, micro-controller and a battery.
