Cherokee Project Lifesaver
An easy solution for a difficult problem. Being a caregiver for Alzheimer patients is a very demanding responsibility requiring continuous supervision. Those people often wander around and get lost without an idea where they are and why. The Cherokee Project Lifesaver provides a small bracelet that helps to find s/o within 30min.

The frequency transmitted by the bracelet can be tracked with a device maintained by the sheriff's office.

"In the past, sometimes we would find the family member deceased, out in the woods," said Chief Deputy Derrick Cunningham of the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office in the article. "That's what we're trying to prevent, and now there is a world of difference."

Even with this simple transmitter (not part the information of a RFID) privacy is an issue:

"There are laws that protect the privacy of those who can benefit most from this protection, so we must wait for the families or caregivers to contact us. We are committed to the continued privacy they deserve."
