Something new 4u: Today I had my first interview - yep - and timing and person are just right I think. Read what john Collins from Eleksen has to say about the future of wearable computing and the companie's position.

What makes it perfect for a first interview is that Eleksen is one of the successful companies in the field and since products like the Nike/Apple-Shoe or Kyonos Blackcoat the market is not far from taking off. John in fact expects the mass market in 2007-2008. Just my point of view. And then Eleksen is one of the best positioned companies out there.

Part I - Something has changed
Eleksen understands itself as company for wearable electronics and so within the roots of wearable computing. But the future of the market is not the 70'ies style cyaborg-like humans. The key business driver for the next years will be "people communication, data communication or browsing applications. It's a lifestyle issue" John said. And he added: "The question is who will lead the market - fashion, mobile or computer industry?"
