GPS Shoes The Next Innovation Of Smart Textile Firms
Innovalley, the US Smart Textile firm, is coming with a commercialize footwear that communicates with an electronic gadget like Smartphone wirelessly. The shoes consist of sensors fabricated into the soles which provide the right communication.
The shoes are made of smart fabrics that give the feedback to the user whether to move right or left and an app can be used for managing all the instruction set. This smart textile technology was introduced in the Smart Fabrics conference held at London. The company seems launching the product on GPShoes technology by 2012. It has collaborated with Ceremmsa R&D centre who has previously worked on smart textiles sportswear for athletes. The company also seems to be working on the EU-funded Dephotex project which ends this October.
